With support from across a wide range of companies and individuals, Wadeye's first representative football team made its debut in the Northern Territory Football League on 8 October 2011.

The Wadeye Magic defeated Palmerston Magpies by 78 points: 17.16 to 6.4.

Leon Kinthari, a senior ranger with the Thamarrurr Rangers and a special adviser to The Thathangathay Foundation was a star player, kicking goals and showing great leadership. 

Bowden McCormack is proud to be associated with Wadeye Magic, its players and coaching staff.
